With this day trip to the Rías Baixas you will be able to visit one of the most spectacular parts of the region. Experience traditional culture, gastronomy, and local wines.
Departing Santiago de Compostela you pass through rich countryside before stopping at a typical Rías Baixas winery. Learn first-hand about the production of the regional speciality Albariño wine. Next, a leisurely cruise on the Ría de Arousa to learn about mussel farming in ‘bateas’, with an optional mussel tasting (paired with more delicious Galician wine).
After the boat ride, we head for the seafood paradise of O Grove. We will explore the port and learn about the origins of its historic centre and many sculptures. After this guided tour, you have an hour and a half to enjoy lunch and experience true Galician gastronomy.
After lunch, we head for A Toxa. The most famous of the Galician islands, you will see the famous La Toja bridge before learning about the coastal Praia Lanzada. Lastly, we travel to the picturesque Combarro, a town filled with granaries facing the Atlantic Ocean, granite-paved streets, and artisans selling products handcrafted in Galicia.
