Porto Food and Wine Half Day Walking Tour

Time will fly during this three-hour food and wine tasting tour leading you through the winding streets of Porto. Enjoy one of Portugal’s best cities while savouring its delicacies, and engage in more responsible tourism by supporting small businesses promoting local culture.

Join us in a walking tour through the old town taking you past Porto’s major sites, including Santa Catarina (the city’s most important shopping area), Rua Passos Manuel (home to the Porto Coliseum and Porto Commercial Athenaeum), Porto City Hall and its surrounding Art Nouveau and Art Deco buildings, and the traditional Bolhão food and produce Market.

You will also delve into the culinary delights contained within Porto’s best tavernas, indulging in authentic Portuguese cuisine including the famous Pastel de Nata custard tart (which pairs perfectly with a special blend coffee), Pastel de Bacalhau (fish cake made from dried cod), a Charcuterie board of local meats and cheeses (paired with a glass of Vinho Verde local to the region), Bifana (a traditional Portuguese pork spicy sandwich), and of course Port wine (on this tour you can sample from Ruby Style, Tawny Style, White and Rosé).

By the end of the tour our guide will have steered you through the historical background of Porto’s gastronomy and wine culture, and demonstrated why the region loves its food!
